Materials and Tools
Yarn: 1 or more colors.
I used Scheepjes “STONE WASHED”( 78% cotton and 22% acrylic) in orange and some
leftover white yarn.
Change of colors are only advices, you can choose your own color patterns.
Crochet hook in accordance with the yarn you use.
I used hook 2.00 mm.
Stuffing: I use polyester wool and a chopstick to stuff the doll.
Tapestry needle, scissors.
Stitch marker.
I used thin black thread.
Black embroidery thread for the eyelashes.

How to change the color of yarn:
With the two loops from the previous yarn on the hook (fig 4), wrap around the new yarn
around the hook, pull the new yarn through the two loops of the stitch (fig 5).
18- Orange yarn: 8 sc, 3 sc in next st, 2 sc, white yarn: 10 sc,
orange: 7 sc, white: 10 sc, orange: 2 sc, 3 sc in next st, 23 sc,
(fig 6, 7)

● Note: The changing of colors will commence after the 13th sc of round 18. The obviously, the
next stitch will be the new color.
Give the tail of the previous yarn a nice tug when changing yarn colors, to prevent loose
stitches (fig 8)
You will notice the big loops at the back (fig 9). Make sure the loops are loose enough to stretch
when you stuff the head. Otherwise, you will have a scrunched fox face.
19- Orange yarn: 9 sc, 3 sc in next st, 4 sc, white yarn: 10 sc,
orange yarn: 5 sc, white yarn: 10 sc, orange yarn: 4 sc, 3 sc in

● Note:
Feel free to include the loops in your stitches. I did include the white yarn (fig 12). You will have
less loose loops at the back in this way. Don’t worry if you notice that the stitches get thick
because of this, it will be unnoticeable once you stuff the head firmly.

If you plan to make the fox with white heart, pattern is below
LEGS
First, make the left leg: crochet 18 sc (round 52). Leave 24 stitches, then insert your hook in the
very first stitch of the left leg for the next round (round 53) (fig 21).
Continue with the pattern. Stuff as you go

How to close the end of the round: with a darning needle, insert the remaining yarn through all
the front loops of the stitches on the last round (fig 24). Pull all the loops together at once and
sew to hide the yarn inside the part you are working on (fig 25).
Right leg:
Lay the doll facing in front of you.
Leave a long tail of yarn to close the gap between legs later.
From the right leg’s first round, count 3 stitches away on both sides then insert your hook
across both stitches (fig 26) and make a slip stitch. On that same stitch crochet the first sc of
right leg, then continue the pattern (fig 27, 28).

EARS
In magic ring: 3 ch, 4 dc, 1 tr, 4 dc, 1 tr, 4 dc, 1 tr. Insert the hook in third chain, attach the
orange yarn and make slip stitch (fig 29, 30). Make the starting chain in the same stitch, then 4
sc, 4 sc in next stitch (fig 31), 4 sc, 4 sc in next stitch, 5 sl st and 4 sc in last stitch (fig 32).
How to Invisible Fasten off:
Using a needle, insert it in both loops of the second stitch after the last stitch (fig 33). Then,
insert it only in the back loop of the last stitch (fig 34). Secure the yarn and use the remaining
yarn tail for sewing.
Make the little black on the end of ears.
SCARF
Crochet 75 chains. Make the 3 starting chains and 1 dc in each loop.
9
ASSEMBLING:
- Sew the arms on either side of the body, just below the head.
- Sew the ears on each side, see photos for placement.
- Eyes: with a black thread, embroider the eyes 5 stitches long and 1 stitch in height.
Make sure it is loose enough to form smiling eye. Do the same thing on the other eye. Dab a
litbit of glue to secure the eyes. Embroider the small nose.

Insert your hook in the front loops (a) and then (b) (fig 1), go in the front loop (a) and in (b) (fig 2, 3).
Yarn over and pull through the front loops (a) and (b) (fig 4). Yarn over and pull through the 2 remaining
loops (fig 5).
